The application is completely intuitive. Users create a sketch and can invite others to participate by providing the unique hyperlink to the web page. Once users enter the “room”, they may chat via a chat window at the bottom of the screen. Saving may be done by copying the html code to save the image or using the provided link. Sketches that are not saved will be deleted ten minutes after the last user leaves the room.
Tools include a pen, line, arrow, rectangle, circle, text, eraser, snap-line tool, and a tool to move text. Users can also choose from a limited library of “stamps” or upload an image from their computer. Google map interaction allows users to insert a map image into the sketch. An Undo-history menu allows users to remove elements easily.
This is a very easy-to-use collaborative tool. Research indicates that teachers, especially math teachers, have been using it to create graphing resources for students.
No registration is necessary. Sketches may be saved as embeddable images or through links to the page.
